About Me

Hi! My name is Aanya Baid, and I am currently a rising sophomore at Stuyvesant High School in New York. I am interested in cultural and political anthropology. ​​

To gain and provide a better understanding of cultural and political anthropology, I decided to research these terms and using the websites Cornell University, Yale University, and Barnard College.

• Study of human culture, society, and biology around the world and through time by analyzing social and cultural institutions.

• Consider the impact of historical events and engage with communities around the world

• Explore cultural, linguistic, historical, evolutionary changes, forces, and processes in society.

I first became interested in this topic when learning about ancient civilizations in my middle school and the cultural associations with them. Learning about how the politics of a civilization were connected to their cultural past fascinated me. I remember watching documentaries' on related topics with many guest speakers being from the anthropology field. To share my interest in anthropology, my research, what books I am reading, I created this blog. Hope you learn and enjoy!
